For more than 10 consecutive years, AITAC has been collaborating with Meyer Werft.
Meyer Werft is a world-renowened manufacturer of the greatest luxury liners and is one of the oldest shipyards in the world with more than 225 years of experience.
We worked on multiple a number of ships in the Meyer Werft catalogue, the major projects being:

The scope of work:
Machinery design - Detail
On every cruiser there are various systems from bilge water, fresh water all the way to HVAC systems. AITAC engineers can produce high quality 3D models and 2D drawings for any system on time and at reasonable costs.
Structure design - Detail
The ship’s steel is designed in 3D with 3DEXPERIENCE platform. The automated production based on 3D models requires high quality 3D designs and AITAC engineers can provide the best support to achieve these goals.
Interior - Basic and Detail
From passengers’ rooms to large concert halls all 3D models and drawings are made with precision and ready for the next step in production.
Outfitting - Detail
All steel that is not part of the ship’s structure is managed by our Outfitting team of engineers. We can provide detailed 3D models with “intelligent” data that are transferred directly to spreadsheets and drawings ready for production.
CAD&PLM Solutions
AITAC supported Meyer WerftMW go-live with CATIA V4 (2000) and assisted Meyer WerftMW in configuration and deployment of 3DEXPERIENCE platform (2015-2016).
AITAC is supporting MWa strategic engineering partner of MW since 2012.
We are providing continuous support for 3D EXPERIENCE platform in terms of:
- Engineering (3DEXPERIENCE platform + CADMATIC)
- Platform testing (new releases/functionalities)
- Implementation of end-user trainings (Basic training, Structure training (SFD, SDD), ASD)
- Platform customization
In 2020 we implemented 18 trainings (3,5 months) for Meyer WerftMW Turku, Meyer WerftMW Komarno, Meyer WerftMW Papenburg with an average grade of 4.53 out of 5.
